Supporter Spotlight: Mark Lorenzoni
We are thrilled to shine this month’s Support Spotlight on Mark Lorenzoni, former BBBS Board Chair and a devoted supporter. For Mark, supporting BBBS is a family affair, and we are proud to call the entire Lorenzoni family our friends.
In his own words, Mark shares: “I’ve had the honor and privilege of serving on over twenty community organization boards of directors over the past forty years. All have been wonderful experiences but none have brought me more joy and satisfaction than serving on our local Big Brothers-Big Sisters board.
I feel so strongly about this wonderful organization because I was witness to, unfolding in real time during my five year tenure, the special nurturing relationships formed between our “Bigs” as they mentored, on a weekly basis, our “Littles”. These quality relationships led to wonderful friendships, where strong bonds of trust were formed and great success stories were achieved. I’m in awe of our Bigs and our Littles…to me they’re local heroes!
And I’m also is awe of the effectiveness and efficiency of the BBBS model, as it so beautifully achieves its goals through trusted partnerships with community volunteers and young students and their families. I count serving as board president of this truly wonderful organization as one of the most rewarding of all my many community experiences. To put it simply, I love BBBS!”
