Big Spotlight: Trick Bike Riding in Charlottesville!

Big Brother Adam and Little Brother Da'Moni have been matched through Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) for nearly four years, sharing a love for the outdoors and staying active. From hiking in Shenandoah National Park to their newest hobby—biking—the duo makes the most of their time together. This summer, they visited Charlottesville Community Bikes, a local nonprofit dedicated to providing kids in the Charlottesville area with safe bicycles and helmets.
Little Brother Da'Moni, excited to dive into trick bike riding, had his heart set on a blue bike. Community Bikes delivered exactly what he wished for—a sleek blue trick bike, perfect for Da'Moni to show off his new skills. “It’s my favorite color!” Da’Moni exclaimed, thrilled with his new ride. Adam expressed his gratitude, saying, “Community Bikes listened to us and found a bike that fit my Little and suited the exercise he was wishing for."

Since then, Adam has taken Da’Moni to the Charlottesville Skate Park, where he's been testing out ramps and learning new tricks, all while staying safe thanks to the helmet provided by Community Bikes.
